Robert L. Brown Deacon

Bob was raised as a Methodist  but attended several other churches as a youth.
He attended grade school in the Sunflower area north of Scottsbluff as well as Hope, north of Minatare. Attended 8th grade in Hershey, NE and Graduated High School in Mitchell, NE. He attended Scottsbluff Junior College before entering the USAF where he served in Texas, Illinois, Utah, and South Viet Nam. After the Air Force, he attended Nebraska Western Community College and graduated with a B. S in Education from Chadron State College  and began teaching at Scottsbluff High School. He completed his M.S. in Science Education as well as all but 3 hours of a Specialist in Education before retiring.  Bob and Samala have been married 39 years, and they have two adult sons, one living in Scottsbluff and the other in Omaha.
 
Ordained at St. Andrews Church Episcopal Sept. 21, 2002 by James E. Krotz 9th Bishop of Nebraska.
 
Serves as Deacon for St. Francis for Bishop Joseph Burnett Bishop of Nebraska.
 
Retired from teaching at Scottsbluff Middle School 2003
