| St. Francis Habitat For Humanity Project: Each year members of St. Francis Church assist in building a Habitat for Humanity house in the Scottsbluff and Gering communities. Members are also collecting money for Habitat For Humanity construction projects in Haiti where Haitians are taught construction skills and build the houses themselves thus solving three problems. Haitians are learning a trade, earning money constructing houses and sheltering those still living in tents after the earthquake which occurred more than one year ago.
