Mother Karen Anderson

Karen Anderson was born and raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota.  She graduated from Watertown Business University in Watertown, SD. She has four grown children and four grandchildren.  Gering became her home in 1997.  Karen has eighteen years experience in the Chamber of Commerce industry and currently serves as the Executive Director of the Scottsbluff/Gering United Chamber.  Volunteer time has included Dale Carnegie, Jaycees and church.

She was baptized April 17, 1965 and confirmed June 29, 1965 at Christ Church in Lead, SD. She worked at Thunderhead Episcopal Church Camp during high school.  Currently she serves as Assisting Priest to St. Francis Episcopal Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. In 2009 she was elected to the Diocene Standing Committee.
