Ken Scheit took this picture in 1945 showing the original window above the altar. During the remodel of 1950, this window was removed due to the sun shining in the eyes of those in the nave. Twelve windows were designed, made and placed in St. Andrew's Church (Now St. Francis) by William Joseph of Denver, Co in 1965.

                                 

CRUCIFIXION WINDOW
Three stories:Peter weeps bitterly, Christ on the Cross, and the graves are opened.
CHRISTMAS WINDOW
The Christ Child coming to earth and being received by the hands of mankind.

 

                           

LOAVES AND FISHES WINDOW
Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:30-44, Luke 19:10-17 the feeding of the thousands.
EPIPHANY WINDOW
Matthew 2 The wise men came from the east to Jerusalem.

                           

SAINT THOMAS & THE RISEN CHRIST WINDOW
John 20:19-29 Put your finger here, and look at my hands.
BAPTISM WINDOW
Matthew 3:1-17 Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water.

                           

CHRIST OF REVELATION WINDOW
John 1:10, 12-20 I saw seven golden candlesticks ..seven stars on his right hand and a sharp two edged sword cam out of his mouth.
LAZARUS WINDOW
John 11, Luke 10:38-42
Lazarus come forth.

SAINT ANDREW WINDOW
St. Andrew was crucified "spread eagle" hence the diagonal cross. Red is the color symbolizing a martyr.
NAME OF JESUS WINDOW
Chi, Rho or XP can be used to symbolize Jesus.

                           

FOREGIVENESS WINDOW
John 8:1-11, Luke 7:36-50, Matthew 26:6-13, Mark 14:3-9
Neither do I condemn thee. But go and sin no more.
THE BISHOPS WINDOW
This window commemorates the three bishops of Western Nebraska.
